Signal Hill is pleased to announce that associate Karlo Young was honored recently by Diversity MBA Magazine as one of its Top 100 Under 50 emerging business leaders. On September 17, Signal Hill joined the Diversity MBA Magazine Executive Team to celebrate the achievements of Mr. Young and the other winners at an Awards Gala in Oak Brook, IL.
The winners, part of Diversity MBA’s ninth annual Top 100 list, were chosen from a highly competitive pool of 300 nominees and represent a group of leaders selected from Fortune 500 companies, entrepreneurs, and nonprofit agencies. The list reflects the broad mix of nominees, including winners from 25 different disciplines and 15 industries.
“I am honored to be included in such a distinguished group,” said Mr. Young.
The award reflects Mr. Young’s career achievements to date, as well as his track record of commitment to community service, mentoring, and leadership. Mr. Young, who joined Signal Hill in April 2014, leads strategic advisory, M&A, and private capital raising activities for growth companies. He served as President of the Baltimore Chapter of the National Association of Black Accountants, Inc. (NABA), where he led over 300 professional and student members, and has been recognized as a “Rising Star” by both NABA and the Baltimore Business Journal/Living Classrooms Foundation.
“We are tremendously proud of Karlo. We have long recognized his abilities and could not be more pleased that he has received external validation,” said Scott Wieler, Signal Hill Chairman and CEO. “At Signal Hill, we pride ourselves on cultivating talent and encouraging future leaders like him. We look forward to see what the future holds for him.”
He is a graduate of the Gilman School, Drexel University and is currently working toward his Executive MBA at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
